West Fork Roasted Wheat
Characteristics
Less intensely flavored roasted malt compared to our Bridger roasted barley. Contributes a mild walnut color and ashy, toasted bread flavor with aromas of burnt coffee.
Use and Application
West Fork Roasted Wheat is produced from raw, un-malted white wheat. It features a slightly less intense roasted flavor and color compared to our Bridger malt. Used as a specialty grain addition in the malt bill of darker beer styles, West Fork produces a mild walnut color and ashy, toasted bread flavor paired with aromas of burnt coffee.
All of our malts are grown and malted sustainably from field to kiln on our farm in Manhattan, MT.
